Hailing from Saint John, NB, he spent six years in downtown Halifax in the late 1990's before a move to beautiful Vancouver, BC for over two decades. After a fulfilling career in fashion retail management, Robert longed for a simpler, more peaceful lifestyle.
A lifetime of untreated mental health challenges, compounded by years of tragic events, eventually culminated in an inevitable devastating mental break. And while undoubtedly painful, a mental break can create space for deep introspection. It can open the door to addressing long-suppressed emotions, traumas, and mental health needs.
As it did with Robert, it can indeed serve as the catalyst for a complete shift in lifestyle and career, often toward a more healing, nurturing path through therapy and new habits that support mental health. This kind of transformation, while painful, can also be a profound opportunity for growth, as it forces a reevaluation of what truly matters.
During this difficult period, Robert discovered the transformative power of creativity. In his mid-40s, he unearthed his hidden artistic side, a revelation that would come to shape his entire journey. So after some months of psychotherapy and being separated from his family for most of his adult life, he returned home to the Maritimes in 2018 and found his dream home in Hammonds, NS, which has been the perfect remedy for his ever-growing anxiety.
Transforming his home into a personal sanctuary, he meticulously planned every detail of his renovation, decor and landscaping despite having no prior design experience. This unique space has evolved into a home-based business, offering essential stress relief to locals during these challenging times. His personal journey showcases the power of creativity and resilience, turning a personal journey into a community resource.
